Combine that with difficult to use dials, and the result is this infuriating device.Get a Conair instead of this . Anyway, on top of the speaker being terrible1) the dials are incredibly difficult for wet hands to use2) the battery lid requires much levering to get on if actual batteries are put inside (just a ridiculously poor design)3) the radio tuning drifts off station if you leave the unit on for more than 10 minutes. I got this shower radio because other reviews indicated that the sound quality might be better than the Conair shower radio that I already owned. It wasn't, and I was probably naive to believe a speaker as small as the one this has could sound better than a cheap transistor radio (anyone remember those).

Now about 2 minutes after I turn it on, there's a high-pitched squeal and then nothing. I bought one of these 6 months ago. My last shower radio (a different brand) lasted 5 years before the speakers went; wish I could find that one again. For about a month prior to that, it was cutting out intermittently (poor reception)., but now it's useless. The sound was not great (lots of distortion when I turned it up loud enough to hear with the shower running), and the on/off button is too small to work with wet fingers. I was coping though, until about 2 weeks ago.

The radio comes in clearly and I get caught up on news and upbeat songs as I shower. This is just what I wanted. An easy to read clock to make sure I'm staying on schedule in the morning.

Do not buy. All you get is static. Completely useless. This is the worst excuse for a radio I could ever imagine.

the station that i really want to pick up wont really get it unless you dont move but if you have a place that picks up signals well it works great works pretty well. you always get what you pay for.
